Credit managed anywhere

For many, 2020 was their first taste of working remotely. Accounting roles in the past have not typically been offered to many in the form of remote work. I think that this is mostly due to the amount of paper that flows in out of the accounting departments. This might seem unusual that paper couldn’t just be transferred electronically, but for most small and mid-size businesses (SMB), it’s not just paper in its original form. For example, an invoice needs to be stamped or coded for GL purposes, and while there are certainly technical solutions to help this process, it can be difficult for SMBs to make this transition.

From a credit department standpoint, processing credit applications the traditional way is manual and involves paper making its way in various forms. Technology certainly plays a role in the current process, with email and scanned documents but you need access to a printer/scanner to complete this task. If you need to have your credit manager work from home as the office is closed, it can be difficult to keep processes moving when you don’t have the normal access to all the office equipment tools.

Fiado allows for the credit process to be done completely without paper and to be managed from anywhere. Even if you have access to a printer/scanner at home, should you be printing confidential data and storing it at your home office? A better solution would be to have all that data safely stored on Fiado’s server so that not only can you access everything you need anywhere, you don’t have to worry about data following into the wrong hands.
